60-270 Announcements
- December 31st
- November 22nd, 12:30am
- Projects have now been collected, and the class list page has
been altered to point at the collected projects.
- To access your electron web directory (where you upload
files), you must type in the URL http://electron.cs.uwindsor.ca/~USERID/
where USERID is your U of Windsor UserID.
- As with the first assignment, you may submit a late project by
uploading your project to the electron server, and emailing me from your
U of Windsor email account, informing me that you wish the project to be
re-collected, before 10pm that night. Emails recieved after 10pm
will count towards the following day. Remember that there is a one mark
per day late penalty for turning in late projects.
- November 1st
- October 1st
- September 27th, 1am
- Our TA's Office Hours have been added to the Outline
page.
- September 27th, 1am
- Assignments have now been collected, and changes to the files in
your directory will no longer affect your mark. If you wish to turn in a
late assignment, you can do so by uploading it to your directory and
emailing me from your U of Windsor email account, informing me that you
wish the project to be re-collected, before 10pm that night. Emails
recieved after 10pm will count towards the following day. Remember that
there is a one mark per day late penalty for turning in late assignments.
- September 25th
- As requested in class last night, a link has been sent to me
for a Mac OS X version of a good text editor which can be used to edit
your HTML documents like Notepad++ and Crimson Editor - it's called TextWrangler,
and I've tested it and found that it works quite well. It has been
added to the Links page as well.
- September 18th
- The Class List has been updated
for the current semester! Please verify that your account is working as
soon as possible (ie: make sure you can log into it right now - don't
wait!) Remember that if you wait until the Friday night, or Saturday of
the assignment to try to log into your account, and discover then that
it is not working properly, you will lose one mark per day late on your
assignment, and the administrator who can fix accounts does not work on
the weekends. This means that if your account doesn't work, and you
didn't bother to find out until too late, you will lose a minimum of two
marks for lateness. Making sure your account works before the due date
is part of the assignment.
- April 15th
- Final Marks, including assignment, midterm, project, exam, and letter grades, are finished and posted. Exams
will be available for viewing in my office (64-1) for the next week by appointment
- please call ahead to make sure that I will actually be there to meet you. Project marking outlines should be emailed out by tomorrow afternoon.
- April 14th
- The Exam Marks are finished and posted. Exams
will be available for viewing in my office (64-1) for the next week by appointment
- please call ahead to make sure that I will actually be there to meet you. Project marks
should be completed and posted very soon.
- March 22nd, 12:10am
- The final projects have now been collected. The links on the class list page have been
changed to point to your collected project, stored on the CS server. If you wish to hand in your
project late, you may do so for a mark penalty of one mark per day late, by sending me an email from
your U of Windsor email account before 10pm on the day you wish it to be re-collected. It will then be
re-collected at 10pm on that day. Any emails recieved after 10pm will count towards the following day.
- February 24th
- The midterm marks are done and posted. Midterms will
be available for viewing in my regular office hours, or by appointment if you are unable
to come during that time.
- Also, we have now been assigned a GA for the course. His office hours will be
mondays from 2pm to 5pm in the University Computer Center in the TA area. His contact
information has been added to the outline page.
- January 25th
- The assignments have been collected, and the Assignment
Marks are posted. Remember that if you wish to had in a late assignment or project,
at a 1 mark per day late penalty, you must email me from your U of Windsor email account
before 10pm on the day you want it re-collected, telling me that you want it re-collected.
