As you may have noticed if you're looking at the class web pages with a modern browser, (such as mozilla, Netscape 6+, or IE 5.5+,) the location bar, and occasionally the bookmarks list entry for this web page has a non-standard icon used for it. This icon is included in the web page through yet another use of the link tag. It can be used to include any MS-Windows icon file as your shortcut/location bar icon. The syntax for this use is as follows:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="filename" type="image/x-icon" />

Where filename is the name of the file which contains your icon. You can create windows icons with specialized icon editing programs, such as IconForge, or possibly photoshop, or you can use an icon you find elsewhere, or one of these which I have provided:
