School of Computer Science hosts Secondary School Robotic Workshops

The weeks of February 18th through February 26th were quite busy with four schools participating in Lego Mindstorm NXT Workshops offered by the School of Computer Science. Leamington District (26 students), General Amherst (21 students), St. Joseph’s (22 students) and Kingsville District (21 students) Secondary Schools each visited the School for a day to participate in a one-hour tutorial, followed by hands-on programming exercises consisting of 4 – 5 challenges. Mark Gryn, Database Oracle Administrator was assisted by Rob Mavrinac, Network/Server Technician and 4th year Electirical Engineering student, Wojteck Maroszek.
