Patrick came into Computer Science the long way around. He initially entered the University of Windsor in the Faculty of Arts and Social Science majoring in Philosophy. He enjoyed the program, but thought best to focus on a discipline which would lead easily to employment. His next choice was Media Production, but then changed his major to Communications Studies. Upon realizing how intensely competitive the field of film, television and broadcasting was, Patrick fell back on his natural skills, computer science. Patrick completed the Honours Bachelor of Computer Science with Specialization in A.I. last spring.
During co-op, Patrick was employed at Research in Motion in his hometown of Kitchener/Waterloo and also completed a software engineering internship at Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California working alongside some of the world’s best developers on Mac OS X.
Patrick was the VP of Social Affairs for the Computer Science Society and was extremely busy organizing events for students, such as a Christmas fundraiser, Movie Marathons, the CS Assassins game and Pi-Day. Patrick is a photographer as well and kindly volunteered to take new photos for our website.
Patrick is currently employed at Apple Inc. in San Francisco, California.
