Brief CV
!!!Detailed CPU Tables for IEEE Computer Article, March 2010!!!
My Main Research Focus
Job scheduling for clusters and grids
with special interest in multicore sytems
My Main Recent Research Contributions
- Middleware and job schedulers for multicore node sharing by allocation of multiple jobs to different CPUs or cores
- Adaptive resource allocation (at start time, at runtime, and mixed)
- Performance directory integrated with monitoring (for communication ratios, slowdowns, communication imbalances) and scalable performance prediction
- Coscheduling with consideration of effective shares for QoS
- Performance prediction for applications under different partitioning of configurable caches and for job response times under different partitioning of clusters into virtual clusters via virtual machines
- Integration of shared and adaptive allocation with adaptive grid middlewarefor allocation of resources in time or space dimension
- I/O prefetching on clusters with configurable partitioning of the software cache and different cache policies in support of different file-access patterns
