I am an associate professor of computer science at University of Windsor. Prior to joining University of Windsor in 2002, Dr. Lu held visiting positions at University of Toronto, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Tokyo, Kyushu Institute of Technology, and Fujitsu Lab. He was a lecturer and then associate professor at Fudan University from 1991 to 1997. He received PhD, M.Sc., and Bachelor degrees from Nanjing University, in 1991, 1988, and 1985, all in computer science.

Dr. Lu's current research interests are web services, web systems reengineering, and semantic web. Some topics are:

My current NSERC project is "Web Service Collection, Searching, and Composition.

  • Reengineering web information systems (NSERC)
  • Information integration using web service technology, supported by IBM CAS (Centre for Advanced Studies) and CITO(Communications and Information Technology Ontario)
  • Reengineering software system to network centric computing, supported by CSER.
