This is a web site about reptiles by Anita.

There all kinds of reptile families in the world. There are lizards, crocodiles and a lot more.

Reptiles are cold blooded animals and they lay eggs.

Here is a link to a website all about reptiles: link

Lizards are reptiles and there are over 3800 species of them.

Crocodiles are also reptiles. A common crocodile is the Nile Crocodile. The young Nile Crocodiles grow about 30 centimeters each year.

Alligators are reptiles too. The difference between crocodiles and alligators is that alligators have wider snouts than crocodiles.

Snakes are reptiles as well. Another word for snakes is serpents. Snakes have no legs so they slither around everywhere. Some snakes grow up to 8 meters in length.

Turtles are one of the oldest reptile families. They were known about 215,000 years ago.

And, another reptile family you will always remember are dinosaurs! They are the biggest reptiles in the world! They are now extinct and have been extinct for over 65 million years.

There is another special reptile named Anegada Ground Iguana. It is endangered because everyone is destroying animals' habitats by building parking lots and other structures on them.

So please help the animals and stop destroying habitats!

Thank you, for visiting my website and I hope you learned a lot about reptiles!
